Boone County's Multi-Day Arrest Log
No official page carries a daily, 72-hour, or weekly arrest log. The Boone County Jail Inmate List works differently. Pick Current, Released, or All. Then sort by Booking Date. Choosing All with the newest bookings first is the strongest official way to review several days, since a short stay can vanish from the default view once someone is released.
Timing matters most on Friday nights, weekends, and holidays. Custody status can shift before you ever search. And a later court date can change the charge, bond, or posture of the case without touching the old booking entry.
How to Read Boone's Booking History
Start with the official status list, not a news site or commercial archive.
- Open the official jail list and select All.
- Sort by Booking Date in Descending order.
- Set 50 or 100 records per page when comparing several days.
- Search by last name and use first and middle names to separate similar results.
- Note booking and scheduled release dates, but treat neither as a final court result.
- Call jail booking at (859) 334-2143 for present custody; request the underlying booking record when needed.
Try Arrests Last 24 Hours for same-day arrests, or the recent-arrest hub for photographs, warrants, and courts.
Fields in Boone Arrest Records
The public roster and cumulative jail file are not the same record.
| Item | Official interpretation |
|---|---|
| Name | First, middle, and last name appear; verify identity independently. |
| Booking date | Visible and sortable, with no public booking or web-post time. |
| Scheduled release | Planning information, not confirmation of actual release. |
| Status | Current, Released, or All are search modes, not court dispositions. |
| Charges, bond, court date | Not visible in observed top-level fields; confirm through jail and court records. |
| Agency | Not shown in the list. Florence Police and BCSO are separate originating agencies. |
| Photograph | No public photo column was observed, though an inmate file may contain one. |
The official Boone roster is the baseline for checking any secondary log.

The sorting controls cover a multi-day arrest review, while thin columns explain why a formal record request may be needed.
Weekend Boone County Arrest Review
The county promises no fixed window for posting weekend arrests. Intake, identity checks, classification, court availability, release, and transfer can all delay posting. Each step can separate an arrest from its web entry. Search both Current and All after a weekend. One empty result never means no arrest occurred. The clerk also posts weekday jail video-arraignment details. It signals the case has entered a different system entirely. A Monday docket is not a weekend arrest list. Check the district criminal page or contact the clerk for that side of the record.
Boone Arrest Archives and Retention
The jail site never says how far back All results reach. Kentucky's County Jailer Records Retention Schedule sets destruction rules. It allows destruction of the Inmate Record File, closed Jail Register, and Classification Sheet five years after release. An inmate file may hold a photograph and related records. Five years is a retention rule, though, not a promise of online display. Ask instead where the item sits. It may be in an active file, archived file, closed register, classification sheet, or evidentiary hold. Litigation and open-records disputes can stretch retention further. Court records follow their own ladder. Cases up to 15 years sit at Boone Justice Center window 3, years 15 to 35 at the State Records Center, and 36 years or older through KDLA. Get a case number first.
Why Boone Arrest News Is Selective
WCPO, LINK nky, FOX19, WLWT, and the Florence-Union Journal write case-driven stories. None publishes a full daily arrest export. LINK nky restricts booking photos to narrow public-interest moments. Every outlet edits its own way. So a photo in one story and none in another proves nothing about availability. The Florence-Union Journal covers Boone-area public affairs.

That outlet adds context to selected events but can't replace an official arrest record. WCPO's Florence and Boone County section is another case-based source.

Publication follows newsroom judgment, so silence is not evidence that no arrest occurred.
Unofficial Boone Booking Archives
RecentlyBooked, Arrests.org, Mugshots.com, Mugshots Zone, and Busted Newspaper all carry Boone County sections. They can help you pin down a date or an alternate spelling. They are not the jail, the Sheriff, or the court. Coverage claims vary. Old entries say nothing about current custody. Lean on official sources first. The Arrests.org Boone search shows what this secondary landscape looks like.

This page reflects an unofficial archive, not an endorsement or proof of a current arrest.
Request an Older Boone Arrest File
Start with BCSO Open Records, or write the Custodian of Records at P.O. Box 198, Burlington, KY 41005. You can also email bcs@boonecountyky.org or call Records at (859) 334-2120. Give the full name and alternate spellings. Include rough booking and release dates, a booking or case number, and the arresting agency. Name the exact item too: report, photograph, incident report, inmate file, register, or classification sheet. For the case outcome, turn to the Boone clerk. Kentucky Department of Corrections KOOL covers state prison or supervision only. Federal tools handle federal custody.
Which Boone Agency Owns the Record?
The Boone County Jail is the usual booking destination. Yet the agency that made the arrest may hold its own incident report. Florence runs its own police department. Burlington, an unincorporated county-seat community, relies on the Boone County Sheriff's Office and county dispatch. Union contracts with the Sheriff for routine police work. None of that agency detail shows in the jail roster's top-level fields. So ask the jail about custody and intake. Then ask the originating agency for its report, and the Circuit Clerk for the criminal case. One name can trail across several records made at different stages. Comparing dates and case identifiers across them beats trusting any commercial blotter entry. No single blotter line is the whole file.
